The National Bahá'í Youth Committee (NBYC) of India is appointed yearly
by the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá'ís of India.
Different kinds of youth activities throughout India are
organized by this committee. Some of them are listed below:
The Junior Youth Empowerment Programme

What is it?
The Youth Empowerment Programme is a mission to give the youth
of India (aged 12 -15) the power of the word through literacy.
Who will be involved?
The National Bahá’í Youth Committee of India has organized the
campaign;
and the Bahá’í youth of India will participate as volunteers.
Where does it concern?
The states and villages where Hindi is spoken will be tended to
first.
How will it be undertaken?
Volunteers will attend training courses in order to serve
effectively. They will then be mobilized into needed areas.
When is the training?
The Youth Empowerment Programme is an on going project that will
include many orientation camps beginning from December 29th,
30th and 31st. Some series of Orientation camp are going to be
held in your own cities.
Why now?
The disease of illiteracy requires the most urgent care and
nothing can help except taking immediate action to treat it.
Teaching through Arts
Inspired by the message of the Universal House of Justice, the
National Bahá'í Youth Committee took the initiative of applying
the method of teaching the cause through the potent and
effective medium of arts and drama. In this connection, trainee
courses have been held to train the youth for the above purpose,
beginning with a course at the Bahá'í Academy, Panchgani,
subsequently followed by courses at Lucknow and Panchgani,
Chandigarh, Indore, etc. Many youth took the initiative to give
services ranging from a month to a year. One of the groups was
named Bahá'í Youth Arts Group for Communal Harmony, as the
Bahá'í youth felt that this is the critical need for diverse
nations such as India. The members of this group highlighted the
Bahá'í teachings on love and unity through music, dance and
drama as they travelled through out the country.
Bahá'í Youth Conferences
The Bahá'í Youth Conferences are held yearly at different
venues.
This Youth Conferences are not only a platform for Bahá'í youth
to interact and make friends but more significantly these
provide a forum for them to create a collective vision and
understanding of their great role in the months, which lie
ahead.
The Conferences include cultural extravaganza, music, dance,
mouth watering dishes, exhibition of traditional and unique
items depicting the cultural diversity, from different parts of
the sub-continent, and lots more.
Bahá'í Youth Magazine
This magazine aims at bringing
the Bahá'í youth throughout India closer to each other by way of
pen pals, contributing articles to the magazine, interacting by
way of responding to different subjects put up for discussions,
etc.
